Geoffrey Williams (trading as AviCoM) is an approved Level 5 UK Department for Transport instructor for:

1. Aviation (Ground) Security  
2. Air Cargo Security (inc.X-ray)

Geoffrey is also qualified to instruct in the Recognition of Firearms, Explosives and Incendiary Devices (RFX) and is also approved to deliver the UK National X-ray Competency Test (NXCT).

In addition to training, AviCoM will also carry out security audits and inspections of all aspects of aviation security to verify compliance with ICAO and National Aviation Security Programs.

General Security Awareness Training (GSAT):

This course has been developed as a minimum training requirement for security personnel as a pre-requisite to being issued with BAA airport passes (following Disclosure procedures). All security personnel who have not attained a minimum Level 1 Aviation Security standard are required to attend this course which includes:

A specific course for drivers and others consisting of statutory modules with specific emphasis on security of cargo consignments in a controlled environment and at all stages of transportation between point of departure and final destination.

Mandatory Refresher Courses
